WHEN DO WE PLAY SATURDAY?
8:00am vs. Strikes & Stripes (Fleetwood HS)
1:15pm vs. Gold Coast Hurricanes – Waugh (Lyons field 2)
3:00pm vs. NYC Bloodlines (Lyons field 2)

So that’s play, sit, sit, play, play, sit.

WHAT TIME SHOULD WE ARRIVE?
As you know, I give everyone an extra 15 minutes for 8am start times, so please arrive by 7:15am, but please don’t be late. 45 minutes to get ready is the bare minimum.

We aren’t allowed to warm up on the field at Lyons, but at Fleetwood we can use the outfield and back of the infield since we’ll be the first ones there. Everyone will get a round of balls off a tee, and then front toss in the cage while we rotate everyone through ground balls and fly-balls on the field.

WHAT DOES THE SUNDAY BRACKET LOOK LIKE?
Lyons tournaments always break the teams into a Gold bracket and a Silver bracket. Gold will be top 6 teams (All at Lyons on field 1 and 2). The Silver will be the bottom 5 teams (All at the Fleetwood HS field).

If you want to sleep in on Sunday, we need to be the 1, 2, 7, 8 or 9 seed.

HOW LONG ARE THE GAMES?
Pool play games are 1 hour and 30 minutes on Saturday, finish the inning and can end in a tie.

Bracket games are all also 1 hour and 30 minutes, finish the inning, EXCEPT for the Championship games which will be played in their entirety.

International tie breaker rules for any games that go extra innings.

WHAT ARE THE MERCY RULES?
Run rules are 15 after 3, 12 after 4, and 8 after 5.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?
At Fleetwood high school, yes. There is no concession stand there. At Lyons, no. No outside food is allowed inside the fence at Lyons. There IS a concession stand there. Note that is CASH only.

HOW DOES THE WEATHER LOOK?
I’m typing this on Tuesday so plenty of time for things to change, but right now…

Saturday = Mix of sun and clouds to mostly sunny all day. 2% chance of rain. It will be chilly first thing in the morning, so bring a sweatshirt. At 7am it’s only 53 degrees. By late afternoon it will be up to a very comfortable 78 degrees. Looks like a good day for softball.

Sunday = Mostly cloudy in the morning and then developing to almost 100% cloud cover by noon. 5% chance of rain in the morning, 15% chance of rain in the afternoon. Warmer all day though, but with the clouds it probably won’t feel much different than Saturday. 58 degrees at 7am, going up to 82 degrees by mid-afternoon.

WHAT UNIFORMS ARE WE WEARING?
Saturdays are always the white/red/black jerseys with black pants and cherry red socks. (Black or red belt if you wear a belt.)

Sundays are always the gold/black jerseys with black pants and black socks. (Black or gold belt if you wear a belt.)
